Delete your account
You can delete your lasso account whenever you like. Here are the two ways to do it, and exactly what happens after.
In the app
Open lasso and go to Settings, then Delete account. It takes effect straight away and you don't need to ask us first.
By email
If you can't get into the app, email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you. Say that you want your account deleted and we'll confirm when it's done.
What gets deleted
Your profile stops being visible to other members immediately. Within 30 days we delete your personal data, including:
- Your profile, your photos and your bio.
- Your walk-on song, your artists and your festivals.
- Your lassos, your matches and your messages.
- Your Roundup attendance.
- Your face scan, if you verified. This is deleted as soon as the check finishes, whether or not you delete your account.
What we keep, and why
We keep a limited record for longer where we have to. That means safety reports and removals, which is what stops a removed member simply signing up again, and anything we are legally required to retain. Nothing in that record is used to build you a new profile or to contact you.
Deleting is permanent. We don't offer freezing or deactivating as a substitute, and we can't restore an account once it's gone.
Anything else
You can also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or object to how we use it. The privacy policy explains those rights and we answer within one month.
