There are 28 UK country festivals with dates announced for 2027 so far, running from January to August across England and Scotland. This piece is about planning the season. For every date, by month, with ticket links, see the full 2027 festival list.
A handful to know about
These are some of the larger and multi-day ones already on sale. Dates, places and ticket links are the organisers' own, from the same listings as the rest of the site. Line-ups aren't shown because most haven't been announced; when they are, they'll be on the ticket page first.

When things go on sale
The bigger festivals tend to announce dates first and line-ups later, often months apart, and early-bird tickets go before anyone knows who's playing. If a festival matters to you, the reliable move is to follow its own site or socials and buy on the date rather than waiting for the line-up. Smaller one-day events often don't go on sale until spring.
Day ticket, weekend or camping
Where a festival has a campsite, camping is usually bundled into the weekend ticket and sells out before day tickets do. A lot of UK country events are day festivals at showgrounds, racecourses or hotels, with no camping at all. The organiser's ticket page is the only place that settles which is which, and it can change year to year, so check it rather than going on last year.
Getting there and back
Book the travel before you book anything else if the festival's in a field: rural sites often have one road in, a shuttle from the nearest station, and a last bus well before the last act. For the arena weekends in the cities, the late train home is the thing to check. Accommodation near the popular ones goes early; a town twenty minutes away is often the better bet.
What to take
Layers, because a British June evening in a field is not a June evening anywhere else. Boots or shoes you've already worn in. A battery pack. Cash for the stalls that won't take cards. Earplugs, if you're camping near the bar. And your ticket somewhere other than your phone, in case your phone doesn't make it to Sunday.
Going on your own
Plenty of people do, and country crowds are easy company. If you'd rather arrive knowing somebody, that's what lasso is for: once it opens where you live, you'll be able to see who else is going to the same festival and get chatting before the gates open. More on that in going to a country gig alone.
Still to come this year
